1. The first thing you can do is send the unit back to Microsoft. You just
call up their customer service department and they will send you a
cardboard box, along with instructions on how to pack up your system. You
then send the system to them and they fix it and send it back to you. This
sounds great, and does work, but it can often take up to six weeks to get
your system back again, which is a pretty big downside for serious gamers.
2. Option number two is to find a third party company. This is pretty much
the same as option one, except for the fact that it won't be Microsoft
fixing your system. You will still have to ship your system to the company
for repairs, but it shouldn't take nearly as long to get back, and the
repair should be permanent, whereas after Microsoft fixes it the system
will often suffer from the same error again not long after you get it
back. The problem with this method is that you really only have the
company's word for it that a/ they know what they are doing and b/ that
the repair will be permanent.
3. Your third option is to get hold on an Xbox 360 repair guide. This is a
collection of texts and videos which will walk you through the repair
process so that you can do it yourself at home in a fraction of the time
it would take to ship the system away and have someone else fix it. The
only thing you have to watch here is that you get a good guide. The best
